How To Find

Bicester airfield is located just off the A4421 on the North side of the town of Bicester in Oxfordshire. The airfield gate is on Skimmingdish Lane, about 300 yards east of the roundabout where it meets Buckingham Road.

Driving Directions

From The North - M1 & A1

  1. Take the A43 south from Stamford (A1) or Northampton (M1).
  2. Follow the A43 past Towcester, Silverstone & Brackley.
  3. After Brackley, you will pass an airfield on the right hand side of the road with lots of radar domes - This is RAF Croughton.
  4. At the first roundabout you meet after RAF Croughton, turn left onto the B4100.
  5. Follow the B4100 until you reach Bicester. Turn left at the roundabout onto the A4095, Southwold Lane.
  6. Go straight over at the next roundabout. The airfield gate is about 300 yards beyond the roundabout, on the left.

From The North - M40

  1. Turn off the M40 at junction 10.
  2. Follow the A43 North until you reach the roundabout with the B4100 - turn right.
  3. Follow the B4100 until you reach Bicester. Turn left at the roundabout onto the A4095, Southwold Lane.
  4. Go straight over at the next roundabout. The airfield gate is about 300 yards beyond the roundabout, on the left.

From The South - M40

  1. Turn off the M40 at junction 9. Follow the A41 North.
  2. Go straight over 2 roundabouts and a mini roundabout into Bicester Town.
  3. Follow the road through bicester going straight on over all roundabouts, following the A4421.
  4. When you reach the roundabout with the A4095 & Skimmingdish Lane, turn right.
  5. The airfield gate is about 300 yards beyond the roundabout, on the left.
